The official launch of the Odyssey guidebook "Tajikistan and the High Pamirs" - superbly organised by Caroline Eden -
took place at Pushkin House in London on 4 November 2009. The event was attended by many
who had already been in the Pamirs and others who plan (or may be persuaded) to go, as well as
a few "armchair travellers."
Several Pamiri students and alumni from the Institute of Ismaili Studies (IIS) and
the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) were also present and gave a demonstration of
Pamiri dancing. The photos below (taken by Caroline Eden and some of the Pamiri students) are a pleasant memory of a successful occasion.
